Improved  one kilometer Buluan -Mawigue -Allangigan-Karikitan Prov’l Road in Conner worth P 13.2 Million

Four completed KALSADA projects worth more than P 157.622 Million were evaluated by the Final Inspection Team last April 24-28, 2017.

KALSADA, or Konkreto at Ayos na Lansangan at Daan Tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran, is a performance-based devolution program to institutionalize good governance practices for local government units with respect to local road management.  The program will rehabilitate and upgrade provincial road networks and transfer these assets permanently to provincial governments for maintenance.

The program was funded under the 2016 General Appropriations Act and was downloaded to qualified provincial governments by Department of Budget and Management through the Local Government Support Fund.

All six provinces in the Cordillera were qualified and received the fund in 2016 worth P 417,713,808.58 from the national government, with the provincial governments sharing a counterpart of P 62,174,453.39 bringing the total project cost to P 511,515,473.92 for 14 KALSADA projects.  The completed KALSADA projects inspected by the Final Inspection Team last April 24-28, 2017 are the improvement of one kilometer Buluan-Mawigue-Allangigan-Karikitan Provincial Road in Conner worth P 13.2 Million, the 3.154 kilometers  Nararagan-Consuelo (Sta.Marcela)-Balluyan (Flora) Provincial Road in Flora worth more than P 38,761,165.73, and the 2.904  kilometers San Francisco-Alem-Poblacion (Pudtol) Provincial Road worth P 30.4 Million  in Apayao, and the Rehabilitation of the 5.85 kilometers Bulanao - Laya - Balong Provincial Road in Kalinga. Other projects inspected in Apayao were the substantially completed improvement of Guinamgaman Ili Access Road in Conner and the on going concreting and improvement of Marag-Calayucay Road in Luna under the  PAMANA program.

Members of the inspection team were Engr. Mike M. Hayag Jr. of DILG Central Office-OPDS, Engr. Marlon S. Walang of DILG-CAR Regional Office, DILG PD Marvin A. Basquez and Engr. Michelle E. Bumatay of DILG-Apayao accompanied by Engr. Florante P. Aliga and Engr. Marcelino P. Bareng Jr. of the Provincial Engineering Office in Apayao and OIC-PD Mayer Max A. Adong, Engr. Charles Bomosao of DILG Kalinga, and Engr. Proceso Bayubay from the Kalinga Provincial Engineering Office.

The on-going projects are the rehabilitation and improvement of Halsema-Madaymen Road and Guinaoang-Suyoc-Gambang Provincial Road in Benguet; Upgrading of Zamora-San Quintin-Bangar Road and Lamut-(Sanafe)-Hapid Road in Ifugao; Improvement/Upgrading of Tadian-Nacawang Provincial Road, Besao -Tamboan Provincial Road, and Bontoc-Mainit Provincial Road in Mt. Province; Upgrading & Improvement of San Juan-Tineg Provincial Road, Bituen-Lacub Provincial Road, and Sallapadan-Bucloc Provincial Road in Abra.
