POC focal person Joan-Ana Dumalsin coach participants from Calanasan, Apayao during the workshop. Participants to the POPSP PCMS workshop in Apayao.

Following the region-wide orientation on the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan (POPSP) Policy Compliance Monitoring System (PCMS) last August 30-31, 2017 in Baguio City, DILG-Apayao conducted a roll out training for all seven municipalities of Apayao last Sept 20, 2017 at the Luna Conference Hall.

Attended by MLGOOs, LGU POPSP PCMS Focal Person and PNP representatives, the training focused on how to input their POPS Plan into the system using their LGU account. All municipalities have crafted their POPS Plan duly approved by their respective Sangguniang Bayan.

The POPS Plan is a 3-year, term-based plan which covers activities addressing peace and order and public safety issues of the LGU. To monitor these POPS Plans, the DILG Central Office developed an online database and monitoring system, the POPSP PCMS.

The system simplifies the monitoring and report generation  and eases the submission of report. This will also serve as a guide for the determination of the Confidential Fund.

POC Focal Person Joan-Ana Dumalsin and Alternate Focal Person Rochelle F. Anua served as resource persons and facilitators during the said workshop. The activity ended with a commitment setting on the submission of the 1st Semester Accomplishment Report which is due on October 30, 2017.

All other DILG provincial offices are expected to finish the conduct of their POPSP PCMS roll-out by end of September 2017. #Joan-Ana Dumalsin, DILG-Apayao.
