One of the locals uses the improved access road with ease to mobilize her needs.
Kapangan, Benguet – The Department of the Interior and Local Government – CAR (DILG-CAR), through the Local Government Support Fund - Assistance to Municipalities program (LGSF-AM) subsidized the rehabilitation of the local access road along Sitio Bileng, Barangay Sagubo, Kapangan Benguet with an amount of Php 1,467,200.00 catering to 240 beneficiaries.

The concreting of the 306 meters rough and muddy road aims to bring numerous conveniences to the locals in their daily living such as access to health care facilities and transportation of products. Lauding the support and cooperation of the Municipal Local Government Unit, the completion of the upgraded infrastructure has also eased the walk of children going to school and other residents travelling to the municipality.

As per data, the Local Government of Kapangan is among the first to complete the LGSF-AM 2018 projects in the province of Benguet. Ongoing upgrading of access road located at Barangay Pudong is expected to be completed within the quarter. Overall, DILG’s LGSF-AM aims to deliver access to services by providing financial subsidy to municipalities in the implementation of programs and projects. The LGUs are encouraged to take advantage of the funding assistance under the program by complying with the requirements of the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping, Local Development Council Functionality and Public Financial Management System. ##JRChua&KMAlangui
