[WATCH] The DILG-CAR, Department of Budget and Management, and the Presidential Communications (Government of the Philippines) brings #Dagyaw2019: Open Government and Participatory Governance Regional Town Hall Meeting, here in the City of Baguio.

This is the fourteenth leg of a series of 16 events across the country w/c aims to provide an avenue for productive, valuable, sincere and visible engagement between government and its people. The term “Dagyaw” is a Hiligaynon word for “bayanihan” w/c exemplifies “togetherness.“ This describes the very nature and value proposition of the Participatory Governance Cluster and the Open Government Partnership- bringing different stakeholders/sectors together.

The Conduct and Roll-Out of the Dagyaw: Open Government and Participatory Governance Regional Townhall Meetings 2019 in Baguio City and other key areas aims to: 1) Provide a platform for regular citizens to clarify “Issues of the Day” and raise local concerns through direct interfacing with senior government officials; 2) Provide a venue for citizens to access a one-stop shop of frontline government services and national program down to the region; and 3) Gather stakeholders inputs for the co-creation of the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP) National Action Plan 2019-2021. #Photo credit / caption from: PIA-CAR.
