DILG Abra, headed by Provincial Director Millicent Bamba Cariño, conducted an orientation on 2018 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Functionality Monitoring System for the ADAC Provincial Audit Team which is chaired by the DILG and composed of representatives from the Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and two (2) Civil Society Organizations as members.
The ADAC performance audit aims to assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on existing issuances and policies, determine the initiated and endorsed innovations and best practices at all levels, and create a platform for evaluation, assessment and sharing of best practices between ADAC and/or ADAC member agencies.
The main performance indicators that will be measured are: (1) Organized Local ADAC, (2) Conduct of Quarterly meetings, (3) Allocation of Funds, (4) Implementation of ADAC Plans and Programs, (5) Support to ADACs in component LGUs, and (6) Innovation/s.
PD Cariño and Program Manager Kristoffer Dave Alvarez of DILG Abra, PMaj Lory E. Tarrazona and PMaj Joseph Almaquer of Abra Ppo, IO I Harmony Grace Valdez, IO I Harven Jumawan and IA I Ma. Lourdes Acosta of PDEA-Abra, Pastor Enrique Tamo of AMA (Abra Ministerial Association) and Mr. Jimmy Evaristo of CAIDSOG (Citizens Against Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group) attended the activity which was facilitated by LGOO II Jaleemar Bosque Andanan, ADAC Provincial Focal Person. They will be assessing the performance of 27 municipal ADACs in the province of Abra for the month of September 2019.
